What is Speedrunning?
Speedrunning usually means blasting through a video game as fast as possible: using clever tricks, shortcuts, and optimal routes. But what if you applied that same energy to real life?
120+ Temples and Shrines Visited 2 Records Set
6:20:00 Tokyo Templathon Record by Mudan and Lushfruit
This video captures the time when Mudan and I set out to speedrun the main temples in Tokyo. We embarked on a fast-paced adventure through the heart of Japan’s capital, diving into the unique histories and cultural significance behind each temple. From ancient shrines tucked away in quiet neighborhoods to grand temples bustling with activity, every stop revealed a different facet of Japan's rich spiritual and architectural heritage.
Speedrunning these temples added a game-like, competitive twist to our journey, turning sightseeing into an exhilarating challenge. But beyond just the speed, we approached each location with respect and curiosity, taking moments to appreciate the stories and traditions that shaped them. When done thoughtfully, speedrunning offers a dynamic and immersive way to experience Japan—it’s not just about moving quickly, but about engaging deeply with a variety of places in a short amount of time. This approach made our exploration not only fun and memorable but also meaningful.
We are always adding more and more maps, so if there is one missing there is a good chance it is still under development
